New to Blogger

My name is Aelle Ables and I'm a writer. Sounds like a start to an AA meeting, doesn't it. Well, I am addicted to it. I live in North Texas. I write science fiction and fantasy along with a bit of weirdness and a ghost story or two. I'm published, the lastest in Alien Skin e-magazine's September issue. I've just moved from Oklahoma City where I had a critique partner, a writer's group and OWFI (Oklahoma Writer's Federation, Inc.). I'm looking for a good writer's group in the Lewisville, Plano, Frisco area, but they all seem to be on the other side of DFW airport which means a long drive. DFW Writer's Workshop was recommended to me. That's in Euless - a 68 mile drive (roundtrip) once a week. I'm sure its worth the drive, but I'd really like to find a critique partner a little closer to home. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Hi Aelle,
I answered your question on groups over at my blog, but I thought I would post it here too.

The Writers' Guild of Texas meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the basement meeting room of the Richardson Public Library.

900 Civic Center Drive, Richardson, Texas.

There's also a critique group that meets in the Lewisville Barnes & Nobles on 3040. If you're interested, I'll put you in touch with the moderator.

Email me if you like. My addy is on my blog.

Cheers!
Maria
